Overview
Stanford University and The Molecular Pharmacology Training Program work throughout the year to identify and recruit the best students from around the world, to engage them in cutting-edge research, and to promote their academic, personal, and professional development. In the Stanford Biosciences, we support many different organizations and people of all backgrounds are welcomed and encouraged to participate as events are open to all.

Student Programs
ADVANCE Summer Institute
The ADVANCE Summer Institute is an intensive 8-week program for incoming and matriculated Biosciences graduate students. Through ADVANCE, we facilitate the smooth transition to becoming a Stanford Biosciences PhD student, laying the foundation for a successful and rewarding graduate experience. In addition to individualized and group mentorship and training, ADVANCE Scholars will participate in their first laboratory rotation within their Biosciences home program.
SSRP-AMGEN Scholars Program
The SSRP-Amgen Scholars Program is a fully-funded research-intensive residential program that takes place on Stanford’s beautiful campus for a eight-week period. Participants are matched with a member of Stanford’s distinguished faculty and work in one of our state-of-the-art research facilities.
