CSB Graduate Program Outcomes

MPTP builds upon the training environment provided by the Department of Chemical and Systems Biology (CSB). Graduates of the CSB Ph.D. program go on to pursue diverse and impactful careers in academia, industry, government, and beyond. With their strong foundation in interdisciplinary research, critical thinking, and innovative approaches to understanding complex biological systems, our alumni excel in roles such as research scientists, professors, biotech entrepreneurs, consultants, and policymakers. Since 2006, the program has proudly conferred 116 PhD degrees. On average, students completed their degrees in six years. Our alumni are currently engaged in the following job sectors:
